How to Get Your Hawaii Motorcycle License

Class 2 (Motorcycle/Scooter)
Apply for a Class 2 license at your county office
Pass the 25-question motorcycle knowledge test (80%, 20 correct) at your county's licensing division.
Pass the skills test
Schedule and pass a skills test to complete the Class 2 licensing process.
Wear a helmet if under 18
Any operator or passenger under 18 must wear a securely fastened helmet; Hawaii has no helmet requirement for a rider 18 or older.
Moped (No Separate Endorsement Needed)
Confirm you already hold a Class 3 license
Any valid Class 3 driver's license already permits riding a moped, with no additional endorsement required.
Or apply for a standalone Class 1 moped-only license
A resident who doesn't drive a car can apply for a Class 1 license limited to a moped of 2 horsepower or less and a top speed of 30 mph, single-rider only.
